Sometimes creating the garden you’ve imagined means reshaping it from the ground up! Whether you’re planning a large garden overhaul, developing an uneven plot or completely restructuring your outdoor space, Roots Shoots & Boots will take time to understand your vision and how you want your garden to work.

Our hard landscaping services bring structure, purpose and character to your garden. From patios, pergolas and decking to garden arches, fencing and screening, we consider the precise positioning of each feature to make the most of your views, sunlight, privacy and the way you move through the space.

We can help create distinct garden rooms, with places for outdoor dining, entertaining, quiet relaxation and growing. Carefully placed structures, pathways and boundaries connect these areas, while orchards and planting soften the landscape and help each space develop its own character.

For sloping or challenging gardens, grading, terracing and tiered garden layouts can create more accessible, usable spaces. Our approach to complete garden restructuring considers levels, drainage and the relationship between your home and garden, bringing the different elements together with care and attention to detail.

Water can bring another dimension to your outdoor space. From garden ponds to small lakes, with pontoons and boardwalks where appropriate, we help create features that invite you to pause, enjoy the view and get closer to nature.

Our environmentally conscious approach considers responsible material choices, opportunities to reuse existing stone and paving, and thoughtful water management. Wherever practical, we incorporate permeable surfaces and protect established trees and wildlife habitats, creating room for nature within your new landscape.

Whether your project is completed in one transformation or developed in phases, we’ll work with your ideas, priorities and budget to create a garden with lasting purpose and pleasure – from the grass roots up!
