Working With Nature
We believe that a healthy garden starts with working alongside nature. At Roots Shoots & Boots, we approach garden maintenance, planting and landscaping with the environment in mind, looking for thoughtful, environmentally friendly solutions to your garden’s challenges.
We avoid chemical pesticides and poisons, favouring preventative care, healthy soil and natural methods of managing garden pests and plant diseases. By choosing suitable plants, encouraging beneficial insects and supporting natural predators, we help your garden develop its own balance – after all, even troublesome bugs have their place on somebody’s menu!
Working with the changing seasons, local microclimates and your garden’s growing conditions, we look for opportunities to support both plant health and wildlife. From a small wildlife pond and sheltered habitats to native planting and flowers for pollinators, simple changes can bring your outdoor space to life.
Reducing garden waste, composting at home, reusing organic material as mulch and collecting rainwater can all contribute to a more sustainable garden. Whether you’re making a few small improvements or creating your own personal ecosystem, we’re here to help you nurture a garden that gives back to nature and brings you pleasure throughout the year.

“Keri has created a fantastic low maintenance garden with a Mediterranean style at my new build home! I now have a choice of 3 seating areas and a wonderful coastal feel to the garden with large and small feature plants and small trees adding texture, height and movement. I am delighted with the result and look forward to spending many happy years watching it evolve as a maturing space. Keri's expertise, knowledge and advice has been greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed having her and the team here designing, constructing and planting. She is thoroughly professional, hardworking and reliable, whilst also being super approachable and friendly! I am VERY happy to recommend her.”
